Today's photo is from LN7_NUT's ride page for his badass 1936 GMC tow truck! It was a hard-earned photo, too, taken by cdcarnut83 after LN7_NUT had sheared off part of his knee by falling into a scrap refrigerator he was wrangling. Nice work to both!

GT67sy is proud of his Syclone, and rightly so. Fewer than 3,000 of the factory turbocharged, AWD minitrucks were ever made by GMC, and his has never seen rain. He's been gradually building it ever since he got it. Check out he progress on his ride page.

Since taking on sponsorship from Toyota, NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer has had to pretend he's all into FJs and Tundras and stuff. But he's really always been a domestic hot-rod guy at heart, and this has apparently led to some strange cross-pollenation in a promo vehicle he "designed" in collaboration with the manufacturer. Yep, it's a new Tundra done up as a beat-up farm truck, complete with a wooden stake-bed, old-style steelies, Mexican blanket inserts in the seats, and a fake rust-look treatment so unconvincing that you can tell it's a paint job even from a thumbnail-sized photo. Bidding was stalled at $30,000 for much of the auction, and Clint had to throw in a race suit and a trip to next year's Daytona 500 to nudge the price up to six figures. At least the proceeds go to charity! More pics below the jump, via Autoblog.

Hot damn. There are a ton of pickups on Craigslist at any given time for a grand or less. Running or non, 4-wheel or two-wheel, in various stages of deterioration. But if you just need something to beat around in and haul the occasional load of junk, it's not like you need something shiny with a Duramax and a big tow rating, right? Take a quick look: what's available, that's good, in your area for under a grand? And is it worth it? Post links below. I'm kind of hankering for this 800-dollar Jeep Commanche, on the theory that it's just West Coast rusty, not actual rusty.

The last Ford Ranger rolled off the Twin Cities Assembly Plant in St. Paul, Minnesota back in December. Now here's short tribute video by the folks at HappyWrenching. Long live the Ranger! Via Autoblog

Today's photo is from the eBay listing for this tough '55 Chevy pickup. I'm loving the rust-on-rust!

Times must've changed a little bit since I was in highschool, because I would've felt like a total tool rolling up to senior prom in something like this. On the other hand: a 7.2 Caterpillar diesel with 900 ft-lbs torque could admittedly come in handy for certain prom-night shennanigans. The limo is for sale on DuPont Registry for $188,000. What do you think: good investment?

Minitruck campers used to be a much more common sight than they are now. Maybe it's because people are just getting bigger. This Toyota Chinook camper appears to be in awesome shape, with everything working and only 5,500 miles on the 20R motor. And as RVs go, you sure can't beat the gas mileage! Check out the listing on Sacramento Craigslist.
