I started this about 48 hours ago on two differnt fourms: Audizine.com and kingofthestreet.com. I simply asked: "what are your thoughts on donks?" and "what are your thoughts on tuners?" I wanted to understand why one group might dislike the other. Is it a real HATE towards the other scene as seen on Youtube and CarDomain? Or is it a race thing? Which it shouldn't be, because no car knows race or gender. What I told each group was I wanted an honest opinion followed by a reason, and that this is not about race or intelligence. Both groups had valid points, but I still would love to hear more opinions. No matter if you spend all night installing coilovers or all night installing lift kits, when you're done you have the same feeling, that you got the look you wanted and you worked hard to get it.

The first video is a walk through the pits. I also have a few short clips from Friday's open practice after the jump. Enjoy!

Ever since Mitsubishi announced they were killing the Evo to go green, there have been all sorts of rumors that we might eventually see some kind of green Evo. Well, here's a sketch of a hybrid Evo that the folks at Road & Track cooked up. The magazine claims that this car may in fact be in the works, with technology based on the PX-MiEV concept shown at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. What do you think? Could it happen? Would you buy one?

BMW has been touting its new 1 Series M Coupe as the reincarnation of the original E30 M3 that came out in 1986. It’s small, squat and if you’ve read my on track review, then you’ll know it’s an absolute pisser to drive. The biggest problem is that BMW is only making about 800 of the little buggers, which in my opinion will not be enough to satisfy demand. However, just to get us even more jazzed about their newest pocket rocket the boys from Bavaria have decided to put on a little drift show for us atop the helipad of the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles, CA. Now while the antics of the little 1M are nothing short of hoon-tastic, the real question should be: how in the hell did BMW get approval for this?

What can you say about the Extreme Zone automotive custom shop in India. By the looks of it they’re a cross between Pimp My Ride and West Coast Customs all rolled into one great big ball of outsourced fun. Taking queues from such automotive shows as Overhaulin’, the boys from Extreme Zone have been given the task of transforming an unsuspecting Suzuki four-door into something that oozes with power, performance and custom touches. Unfortunately they fail miserably on all counts. Here in the United States we’re used to custom shops that possess the skills and talent to outfit a car properly, in India though… not so much. Click play on the video after the jump and watch as this little four-door is transformed into something that is neither fast nor furious. Via RideLust

Here’s the deal. If you own a BMW M-series automobile and have never taken it to a racetrack then I hereby classify you as a big fat weenie. Keep in mind that I know that I’ve just insulted the majority of M-car owners out there, but please know that there is a reason for this. You see these cars are good, very good, which is why it pains me when I talk to M-car owners who have never explored the real potential that these cars have to offer. Truth be told, I think that maybe 50% of owners understand what these cars can do, while the other 50% are missing one of the greatest automotive experiences out there. BMW’s M division has been cranking out cars since the early 1970′s, so saying they’ve got their sh*t together would be an understatement. By now we’re all familiar with the BMW M3, M5 and various M-SUV’s, but what about their newest M-car? What about the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe? I was recently invited up to Monticello Motor Club in Monticello, NY to drive, abuse and play with BMW’s newest little pocket rocket and man-O-man was it fun. Continue reading at RideLust

There is a lot of excitement about the 2012 Beetle over at VWVortex, where someone started this great photoshop thread. I posted a bunch after the jump. Which is your favorite?

Surprised he didn't pull 'em over and write 'em up for violating New Jersey statute 39:4-88. Language not safe for work!
