What you're looking at is an Applied Designs Sea Lion. It's a one-off, handcrafted vehicle that happens to be capable of swimming. It's powered by--get this--a 13B rotary from a 1974 Mazda RX4. Notwithstanding, it's built as an Amphibious World Speed Record Competition Vehicle, in reference to the kooky and completely unregulated building competition held each year for land and water speed titles among an assortment of homemade amphibs. Aside from its drivetrain, the Sea Lion isn't "based on" anything, having been built just about entirely from scratch out of CNC machined parts. It apparently hasn't broken any records yet, but it comes with the hope that the new owner will swap up to a Renesis RX8 motor, as well as a generous dose of tech support; says the seller, "I will remain available as a consultant, engineer, machinist and psychiatrist for whoever decides to venture further into the amphibious record books." Asking price? $259,500. See all the details here, via BringATrailer.

What are the odds? These cars all crashed within a few hours of each other. Almost makes you think someone spilled oil on the road or something! See the video after the jump.

The Chevrolet small block is one of the greatest engines in all of automotive history. It’s powered countless hot-rods and customs, as well as the majority of GM’s muscle cars. Therefore it should come as no surprise that the Big Muscle guys head to Brighton, Michigan to visit the famed Lingenfelter Car Collection. Here we check out the first small block powered Chevrolet Corvette (the Duntov Test Mule EX-8), take a ride in a 1993 Lingenfelter ZR1, and sit down with Ken Lingenfelter as he guides us through the ins and outs of one of the greatest private car collections in the United States. Video after the jump!

The Lexus LFA… remember that? It seems like only yesterday that the world was going completely insane over this V10 wonder from Japan. It had a $500,000 price tag, a top speed of over 200 mph and was limited to only 500 units. Well now the Lexus LFA is back and Motorweek has apparently figured out how to get their hands on one, which is good, because everything else in the Lexus lineup is boring as hell. Click through for video and enjoy.

Ferrari has had a successor to the Enzo, tentatively named the F70, in the works for some time now, and shots of heavily-cladded test mules have recently made the rounds. But what will the finished version look like? Pininfarina designer Constantin-Gabriel Radu took a stab at it with this slick design study, which blends elements of both the old Enzo and the current 458 Italia. What do you think, is it a hit? Keep in mind that the F70 is projected to have a V12 linked with a couple of electric motors, with a combined output in the 900 hp range. Remember being a kid and day dreaming about how awesome it would be to have a tv in the carduring those long boring drives? I sure do. I remember first learning about power converters and how genius I felt when I hauled my little ten inch tv and playstation out to our Suburban and hooked them up to keep my brothers and I company during the long yearly trip from Southern Utah to Northern Utah. We played Madden the entire time and before we knew it we were at Grandma and Grandpa's. We might not live in a world of flying cars and robot servants yet but things have definitely changed in the last 15 years. Now most people haulers, whether it be a van or an SUV, come stock with entertainment systems that include T.V.'s, DVD players, aux hookups for your xbox, etc. But some companies don't believe in just satisifying their customers, they'd rather blow their minds. Chinese automaker JAC Motors, which most recently made itself famous for producing a fake Ford F-150, may have plans to unveil this toothsome exotic at the Beijing Auto Show later this month. The Pikachu-hued S11 combines styling cues from Ferrari, Audi, and Lamborghini, maybe with a dash of Hyundai Genesis thrown in, though the net effect resembles a Celica with a bad bodykit. And according to Carscoop, it's even plagiarized from another Chinese manufacturer's 2009 prototype. No verification yet on powerplant or even the existence of this car, and like a lot of automotive news out of China, it has the feel of an elaborate hoax. Don't be surprised if it shows up running a Volkswagen TDI or something, if indeed it shows up at all. More pics below the jump, via Carscoop.

An annonymous source sent these shots to Edmunds, and there's speculation that they're from the video presentation SRT will be giving tomorrow at the New York Auto Show at the Viper's unveiling. If these are real, it's a mean and sinewy Viper we'll be seeing for the first time tomorrow. I guess we'll find out with Rob's pics from the reveal!
