BlueBird02 has definitely been keeping pretty busy on this cool black-and-blue paint scheme he's doing on his Trans Am. It really must be so satisfying when you finally reach the point where you can throw the first layer of glossy over everything. I really can't wait to get to this stage on my own project: all the priming and sanding sure does get old after awhile! Click through to BlueBird02's ride page to see the entire paint sequence.

I am confused. These are RWD, so what is going on here, exactly? Thoughts? Two more pics after the jump! Via The Car Lounge

Today's pic comes from the Grassroots Motorpsorts Facebook page. Today was concours judging and autocross at the $2012 Challenge.

Had a couple of sightings the other day in strangely close proximity to each other. The first was this beat-ass Viper, with recent and not very good bodywork to the nose, parked nonchalantly in the parking lot between a Kmart and an Albertsons (a regional grocery chain that I think of as the official retirement home of food). After that, I hadn't driven more than a quarter mile when this Munich Evolution Cobra turned up on the other side of the road, parked all jaunty in front of an Office Depot as if it was trying out to be their new promo vehicle. Didn't know if it was take-your-snake-to-the-scuzzy-strip-mall day on Aurora, or what. Ever experience vehicle sightings that seem too staged to be a coincidence, even though it's clear that they have nothing to do with each other? Hit the jump to see the Viper.

If it’s German and from the early 1970′s you can bet your sweet ass that we’re interested in it. Old German automobiles have something about them that harkens back to a time when cars were just built better. They felt more solid back then and gave us all hope that anything that was to come after would be an improvement. Now even though that wasn’t necessarily the case, it’s still good to know that there are guys like Shea Weidler and his 1972 BMW Bavaria who still keep that old German torch burning.

I know, a French supercar. I imagine there's a joke in there somewhere, but I'll leave it alone. This one will be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric powertrain as a nod to Peugeot's similarly-powered prototype racers that've been so impressive in Le Mans series over the last few  years. Strangely, Peugeot is also revealing a hybrid scooter under the Onyx name as well, as a kind of companion to the stunning supercar. But will they build either one? More pics and details at Carscoop.

These beautiful matching classic GMCs are being sold separately on eBay: you can view the auctions here and here. But don't you hope someone will buy them as a set? They're like salt and pepper shakers! Via BringATrailer.
