Today's pic is from photogropher GF Williams, whose work was featured in this Jalopnik post on upcoming new photogs. Our buddy Larry Chen made the list, too!

Bad taste and diamond plate; two things that should never be used in conjunction with each other. Via Hooniverse.com

There's definitely something about Festivas that encourages wacky builds, but rally71 is serious about his little Ford pocket rocket. Click through to the ride page to see more!

Thanks to Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft, I recently got to spend part of an afternoon playing with a preview of the new Forza in West Los Angeles. For 2012, the very successful Forza Motorsports franchise returns with Forza Horizon on the XBOX gaming console. This version of Forza deviates from previous ones in that it offers “open-world” driving in a Colorado setting. There are some familiar roads and terrain but it wasn’t designed to be an exact replica. The new format is set at Forza Horizon, one part music festival and one part car show. Continue reading...

If you watch Storage Wars, there's a good chance you've seen Barry Weiss aka "The Collector" in one of his wild and often over-the-top cars, and last week's episode was no different. The car he drove was a custom 1955 Ford bubble-top known as the Beatnik, not to be confused with the Beatnik Bandit by Ed Roth. This car was the creation of Gary "Chopit" Fioto and blends a Ford body on a Lincoln chasis with Cadillac front-ends on both the front and rear of the car. It's powered by a Chevrolet 350 small-block. Needless to say, it's a one of a kind which is probably why Barry Weiss couldn't live without it when he bought it earlier this year in the Amelia Island RM Auction. See more photos and video of the car at Celebrity Cars Blog.

Isn't it great that when something like this happens, there are always some idiots around to shout "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!" about it? Video below the jump.

The state of California has influenced the hot-rodding culture like no other place in history. It started back in the mid-1940′s when servicemen came home from war and were looking to stake their claim in the automotive world by building something different. From there modifying and customizing took off to form something simply known as the, “California Look”. Fat Performance’s Greg Aronson is a Volkswagen guy and one of those old school builders who believes that older is still better. We tend to agree. Via RalfBecker.com. Watch on Vimeo!
