There are some neighborhoods where I refuse to park any car I care about, and Seattle's Capitol Hill is one of them. It's the kind of place where cars cram both sides of narrow residential streets, and every vehicle has door-gouges and all four corners caved in from parking "by feel." Recently a childhood friend was staying in Capitol Hill, and I had to tell her I couldn't meet her there for lunch—I won't even park my Ford Escort there! Which made it all the more surpising yesterday to find this GT-R casually squeezed in with the other commuters. I can't imagine how a car like this could parked regularly on the street. It had a parking pass for Microsoft, which is all the way out in Bellevue, and—get this—a carpool sticker. So although I assumed the GT-R was just visiting, I guess theoretically the owner might live in Cap Hill and drive out to Microsoft every day. But geez, it's hard to believe they wouldn't shell out for a garage spot for it!

Every once in a while I stumble across a Pinto that is totally badass. So how about this SCCA racer that popped up at a Concours d'Elegance in Plymouth, Michigan over the weekend? The Afla next to it is pretty cool, too. Via the Hagerty Facebook page.

Here's proof that you can have a really sweet turn-key street legal track toy for under 20 grand. This E30 was originally built for the Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge, and after it won the championship in 2011, the owner decided to dump some money into it and build it up with the goodies it deserved, including the aluminum 5.3L L33 V8. It's also got AST 4100 coilovers, CCW 3-piece wheels wrapped in Hoosier race tires, a Borg Warner T5 run through a C5 Corvette Z06 clutch and pressure plate, and a lot of E36 M3 brake and chassis running gear. What do you think, did the buyer get a deal or what? See more at the completed auction on eBay, via BringATrailer.

For most people the act of drag racing a vehicle may seem quite simple. However, in reality, it’s one of the hardest motorsports to master. Chris Harris recently found this out when he decided to pit a Porsche 997 GT2 RS against a Ducati 1199 Panigale. The Porsche packs a whopping 620 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque from its twin-turbo flat-six engine. The Ducati on the other hand makes 192 hp from its v-twin mill, but with a dry weight of only 361.5 lbs, it gains a massive advantage over the Porsche. So, which one of these street beasts will come out the victor? Click through to find out.

We had a chance to review the amazing Tumbler last week, but it’s only been a week since The Dark Knight Rises, right? So we thought we’d take another look at the most iconic superhero car of all. But you all know the Batmobiles by Burton and Schumacher intake-to-fin. What about some of the others?

The Ur-Batmobile
Before there was the Batmobile, there was Batman, and he had to get around Gotham. The first car we ever see him driving comes from 1941’s Detective Comics #48, and it’s one of the most beautiful cars of its era – a 1936 Cord convertible. So classy you’d think Bruce Wayne just got fed up with his lack of Batmobile and took out one of his personal cars. This is likely the only FWD Batmobile in the lexicon.

Check out a few more Batman rides you might not have heard of after the jump!

It's only a matter of time before someone makes a drinking game out of this, and then the timing will be way off. Pic from Cherokee XJ-R's Facebook page, via Hooniverse.

No, we won't be getting the new Ranger, built in Tailand (because, of course, Americans would never buy a small pickup). But we can read about it. Check out the review at Autocar.
