2010 has been and gone, and it was a massive year for CarDomain: this was the year of Autoholics, a brand-new concept within the automotive blogosphere that granted every CarDomain member the tools to write blogs for the site. How awesome is that? A number of you have jumped on the opportunity to share your gearhead passions with the world (we're up to almost 100 new contributors since the launch!), and the stuff you've come up with has been nothing short of amazing. Here's a few of our favorite highlights from 2010:

Katherine's been having a wild time in Germany, and has spotted some pretty awesome and hilarious cars over there. Like this plaid-painted BMW.

Cknarf's question about letting a great deal get away certainly struck a chord with us. That's because we've all had our hearts broken on Craigslist!

Who could ever forget this insane 3rd gen Camaro hi-riser that Michael Berenis found?

HotRodHoney found herself a nice Malibu to run as a winter beater, and wrote up some snow-driving tips. Great advice from a native New Yorker!

Ted has embarked on an epic and well-documented transmission rebuild for his Grand Prix. Click the links to read part 1, part 2, part 3, and part 4, and stay tuned for more, this one's in progress!

SouthernGuy8503 definitely got us talking when he asked us to share the stupidest Wal-Mart-style mods we'd seen on cars. Yep, there's definitely some hideous accessories out there.

DiabloVT007 found this awesome video showing one of the stupidest things you can do while pulled over.

Retroman's first post, a rundown of all the best performance sedans of the last 30 years, was a huge hit.

FuryPaul gets out to a lot of car shows and cool places, and he's always sharing the automotive oddities he finds along the way. Like these bizarre Model T's at Owl's Head Museum!

Amber showed us what a kick-ass gearhead chick looks like, and told us why you should only pose with a car if you built it yourself.

Greg Forster takes some amazing photographs. Remember this monster tractor he found?

Oops, that's 11! Yeah well, the awesomeness that you guys have been cranking out in the brief span since Autoholics went live is too huge to contain in a Top Ten list. Next year we'll have to write a book! Thanks for all the great stories you've all contributed, and here's to a great 2011. Never go anywhere without your digital camera, and keep those awesome blogs coming in the New Year!

Caught on tape, a woman rams a cop car with her Camaro and makes one heck of a smoke cloud. Watch the video after the jump!

Check out this lovely video by JDM Legends. Those old Skylines are sweet! I would've liked more action sequences, but the ambient footage and the garage shots of everything all apart are pretty nice too. Hit the jump to enjoy.

Apparently this driver was not happy with the glare protection that his standard sun visors provided and decided to take matters into his own hands. I have seen many things during my travels on the open road, but I have to say that this one is definitely a first. Watching schmucks temp fate like this is something that I always find intriguing as they do it with zero regard for those around them. This is the perfect example of an accident waiting to happen. My only hope is that a Police officer got to this guy before that hood ripped off the factory hinges and planted itself into someone’s windshield. Watch the video after the jump, and see more fail at RideLust.

I've always been one to praise the abilities of the Corvette, but this latest clip is hardly complimentary. So why did the 'Vette lose this race? Visit Tampa Sports Car Examiner for my take.

It might not be ultra high-dollar or have granite countertops or whatever, but how brilliant is it to salvage a convenience-store magazine rack and stock it with car mags for the john? Via CrankAndPiston.
