New Jeep Wrangler Pickup Coming in 2016
Posted On: 3/27/2013 8:26AM

Jeep has announced that in 2016 Wrangler fans will finally get their wish - a stock pickup truck. This new compact truck could upset the Toyota Tacoma dominance of the compact market. The question is, will it sell?

It is certainly cool looking. According to, Jeep President Mike Manley at the Geneva Motor Show confirmed the truck will be built.

With Chrysler seemingly offering everything in diesel nowadays, the odds are high this will be a diesel truck. Is America ready for a diesel compact truck from Jeep? Time will tell.

Makes sense, the next gen dakota will be a lifestyle vehicle, aka car based so this will give them a legitimate compact truck and it will probably share enough components where they wont need to sell whole lot of them

interesting, wonder it they'll make it Wrangler-based so much as to offer a removable hardtop/soft top. They mite as well make it a production vehicle and not just a conversion kit or maybe make it both?
