Looks like Honda knows they goofed with the latest Civic. An emergency refresh will hit dealer lots in November and Honda is advising dealers to clear 2012 inventory because "changes made to the 2013 model will make the outgoing 2012 Civic a difficult model [to] sell when they are side to side." Never ever think you can rely on your past successes so you can sell a cheaper product. I don't care much for Asian cars, but if there's one thing I would think they would avoid, it would be going down the same path as the former Big Three. That said, the Civic is nothing more than a beige and silver hum drum appliance any way and it always will be, even the sporty two door models, but hey, quality sells even if the product is somewhat boring.

The new civics are so ugly, I have no idea how honda could destroy them so badly. The previous version 2006-2010 i think, were the best thing to hit the small car market. These looked old and out of place the day they were introduced. With cars like the Focus, Elantra, Cruze out there looking so much better than this thing it was only a matter of time before they forced a refresh. I doubt the refresh would help.

This outta be good...Civics, in their current state, look like pimples...They were good looking, then bad looking, then good looking again, now bad again. Who approves these designs anyway? It's like there's a new guy in there every 3 to 5 years.
