Would You Finance a ZL1 For This Dude?

This guy was the owner of one of the 2010 Camaros that was recalled due to risk of engine fire, caused by the cable from the remote battery jump post rubbing thin and arcing off the starter. Long story short, he somehow missed finding out about the recall and his car burned to a crisp. It had Lambo doors and everything! Though insurance covered the loss, as a small business owner he can't get a loan for the new supercharged ZL1 he wants for a replacement. So he is asking GM to finance the deal! Um, maybe Obama can help him out? Hit the jump to check out his iPhone video plea, via Carscoop.

I wouldnt give him a loan solely on the fact that he put hot wheels stickers on his car.

You'd think people would have battery cables down by now. Jesus, there's a recall on everything.

Too much wires and cables on new cars... Darn too many (computer)assistance in everything. I think Mr. "Burn it with fire!" guy got his wish.

Why ask for the loan on a car that you don't even know the model of it? He must live without a TV, internet, friends or anything else if he didn't know about the recall and doesn't know that the new on is the ZL1. If he loved Camaros so much he would know the basics at least. Since his car had a recall on the wiring he would have gotten something in the mail, he probably thought it was junk and threw it out. He should be lucky that the insurance paid off the car. There has to be somewhere that he can get a loan for it, if anything try getting a personal loan, not an auto loan. Also why beg GM to give him a loan on the ZL1 when he had an SS before?

^^LOL, a personal loan? and offer up what as collateral? personal loans are harder to get than auto and the guy obviously is having $ problems. He needs to call drive time and get one of those 15% interest rates lol
