I love shifting gears. The only place where a auto is handier is towing, uphill, in traffic.

Automatic transmissions are the future or high end sports cars, it can't be changed deal with it. If there was enough demand from Ferrari buyers for manual car there would be manual options on their cars. There isn't so that shows you not enough people care about having manual high end sports cars, only people who can't dream of affording these cars making demands that they should be manual. Your requests are falling on deaf ears, because in reality you can't even afford the transmission casing on any of these new Ferraris.

i'm a fan of a hybrid of both SportShift Auto AND Stick when you want.....personally I've always drove auto, tried a stick but did'nt go well but I'm sure if I had enough time with one I could drive one

I like the auto for pickups and luxury cars. But for small cars and sports cars a stick is best. I wish my little beater Toyota was a stick every time I get in it.

I have a feeling you don't know how to drive an actual stick, closest you've probably driven have been paddle shifters. Oh and from what I see on the internet most Ferrari drivers can't drive nearly well enough to take their cars too full potential and most total them while trying. So why use Ferrari driver's as an example? The reason autos are in higher demand now is because people are over time getting lazier and lazier and also want to do 4 or 5 things at once while driving. You say he can't afford a Ferrari? Where's yours? Sure you have an AMG Benz, but where's your Ferrari or Lambo? I guess now you'll say you could afford one, but prefer your AMG.

I said most Ferrari drivers don't driver the cars to their potential, meaning they have a fast car but only driver it around town. I then said that most of them that try to take them to the full potential total them. So I'm not assuming anything, it's from what I notice and I said "most" with both points, didn't say "all". Also it doesn't matter if autos are superior to manuals, it's the fact of feeling like you're in more control over the car. You never responded to me saying that I bet you've never driven a real stick so that means you never have. So how can you say autos are better when you've never driven a real stick? To me paddle shifters aren't real manuals, they're just an auto where you shift when you want to. Rather you know it or not, the internals on a real manual and an auto are different and I have a sneaking suspicion that a paddle shift transmission is way more like an auto than a manual. If autos were superior over manuals then why don't they use autos in drag racing at the pro level like NHRA? Autos these days are a lot better, but from what I've seen they're just not as strong as a real manual. So yes, the reason manual is less popular is because people are getting lazier. They don't want to have to shift, autos are easier to drive. Most people also want to do multiple things at the same time while driving and a manual would get in the way. Hell I would prefer a manual even in a daily driver that wasn't performance at all. An auto isn't a bad thing, but to say they're superior over manuals in every way is just your opinion that you're trying to turn into a fact. And yes you retard I have driven plenty of manual cars, my first car was a stick Z28 which i bought myself. Never did I say I prefer automatic over manual or the other way around. I said Automatics now are the more superior transmission choice whether you like it or not so deal with it.

While there are some automatics that are superior to manuals, most aren't. The ones that are don't use old fashioned auto tech either.

I have to admit i love manuals. Auto's are easier but i feel like i get bored while driving a auto. nothing better then shifting gears.
