On the strip, this turbocharged Corvette behaves like a wild beast. And just like a wild beast, it eventually goes completely out of control. Think the stock suspension had anything to do with it? Video below the jump!

In describing the car that's his first comment - stock suspension. Like he wa proud of it or something. And he could have easily avioded the wall if he shut it down but he kept gassing it.

I think he was saying that he kept it as IRS instead of doing a solid axle swap like many people do to these. The heck was up with his second launch? Was the ignition arcing across the whole distributor?

He could have still avoided the wall on the last run, but he kept getting back into the gas too early. You wait for it to gain grip . It's like he was too anxious to get down the track instead of trying to do it right. To me it just looked like that was way too much car for his lack of experience drag racing. Should have slowly built the car up so his experience was getting better as the car got faster.

That guy has way too much money and too few brain cells. Definitely doesn't know how to drive and easily could have avoided that crash

Yep, the crash was avoidable but he chose otherwise.

It wasn't like he was going to run the other guy down on the last race so he should have just shut it down as soon he begun to spin...

I can tell you that I have learned more about this than I ever expected to in the last 3 days... The driver, Tom Urbik, says that the crash in the third race happened because he was trying to get on the brake after the first save, but caught the accelerator instead. And yes, the staging in the second video, as harsh as it looks, is a "Davis Bump Box" working the way it was designed.
