I don't know how I missed this, but Toyota USA posted this video on YouTube back in January. What do you think? Watch!

By: 93Fordboy69 10/8/2012 3:02 PM wrong on so many levels....I'm all for customizing cars but there at certain things that can be done but SHOULD'NT |
By: boatdude13 10/8/2012 3:06 PM the only good ideas in this entire car are the 13 W7s in the trunk. |
By: 74Furyous 10/8/2012 3:06 PM so if his car reminds him of himself, shouldn't he be wearing shoes with a 10 inch lift making it almost impossible for him to walk anyway near normal? |
By: diamondaudio101 10/8/2012 3:35 PM even seagulls are shaking their heads |
By: Millertime_2009 10/8/2012 4:51 PM LOOKS RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
By: GetTheClicker 10/8/2012 4:52 PM Ok sooo who wants to bet how long those backseat monitors last when he has a couple of drunk girls, or guys, in the back..... |
By: BIG_CIVIC 10/8/2012 5:36 PM ^ Not very long, coz you know they'd have to be shit faced drunk to accept a ride in this godawful contraption. |
By: FLDude 10/8/2012 5:45 PM An average automotive appliance modified to deliver diminished safety, speed, handling, braking, looks, and rides like a John Deere. Cool. It does look well done, though. Except for the rear suspension at 2:12. Yikes. |
By: gold94corolla 10/8/2012 8:46 PM He likes it, and he feels proud, and he has a smile on his face, even when I laugh as I go by, good for him. |
By: Dom-Alegria 10/8/2012 9:03 PM Title should be, "Camry Don't." |
By: cknarf 10/8/2012 10:10 PM GULL. WING. DOORS. |
By: TasakiDog 10/8/2012 11:02 PM ^ SPAM . And this car is disgusting. I can't even bear to watch the video. Just the picture alone makes me want to puke |
By: rockerben143 10/9/2012 6:42 AM I don't like it. But he did mention that he doesn't care if people hate it, because it puts a smile on his face... so good for him. |
By: VALIANT010 10/9/2012 6:58 AM I can respect the fact that he is working with what he has... I would never put any money like that into a Camry, but that is just me. |
By: RIP-Pontiac-2009 10/9/2012 7:33 AM No offense to any Camry owner but ive never seen a Camry worthy of custom modification. I feel like most Camry buyers only buy them because self driving cars havent gone mainstream yet. |
By: kp898 10/9/2012 10:54 AM i'd much rather a camry on 26's instead of old muscle, or new muscle at that. we all agreed that camry's were simply good cheap cars. aren't you guys glad someone did all these things we're not fond of to a car we're not fond of? |
By: JVBimmer 10/9/2012 11:45 AM I was expecting another transformers Camaro, but instead was greeted with a gobots Camry? |
By: ceedubyah 10/10/2012 7:41 AM what happens when you get a flat tire? what size is your spare? |
By: 8-TRES 10/10/2012 9:08 AM WHYYYYY? I said it before and I'll say it again, big wheels are played out!!! I won't say "Lambo" doors but "modified" doors are played out too. I thinks cars look way better customized with subtle changes that add function. |
By: HypnoticScoinic 10/10/2012 10:18 AM ...I guess he had to put "skateboard" steering on that thing just to make turn: Lean left, lean right, lean left, lean right...slaloms! |
By: albania_fier 10/10/2012 10:38 AM I mean I'd never build a donk I do t think disproportionate wheels look very good but this guy likes it so to each his own, as for throwing all that money in a Camry again to each his own I BET NOBODY WOULD BE HATING if he switched to a better chassis' and dropped a 454 or some other sort of V8 in there and neither would I frankly |
By: Charmer18 10/10/2012 3:45 PM I like the car overall but 26s are not needed at all. Plus I hate toyotas lol especially the camrys |
By: DAT_CUBAN 10/11/2012 12:35 AM I'm gonna be Honest the car looks like fuckin shit!!! Another thing I can't stand is the title... Everybody thinks That if you lift a car and put big rims on it... It's automatically a Donk not true... The true definition of a Donk is a 1971-1976 Chevrolet impala or caprice!!! |
By: SilverBullit99 10/11/2012 3:51 AM It's nice and clean, that's all I give it.. waste of time, money and effort for a car like that. |
By: guamguy-2k 10/11/2012 5:17 AM Oh damn!!! Another one of those 25" plus wheels again. Bra the car is nice as you customized it. Put it on 19" or 20 " rims and let its beauty shine. But then again another off road special. To each his/her own on their rides customization. |
By: subaru-offroad 10/11/2012 5:35 AM hahaha we need 5.5 jigawatts marty!! But DOC!!! lol |
By: GnatGoSplat 10/11/2012 6:11 AM What kind of physical head trauma occurs that causes people to think lifted cars looks good? It looks cartoon-silly, as usual, though it's really nothing new. These ridiculous looking clown cars are all over the place. |
By: MychaelZ 10/11/2012 6:25 AM The only cars I've ever seen look good "lifted" were a late 60s or early 70s Monte Carlo on a 4x4 truck chassis, and an early 70s El Camino also on a 4x4 truck chassis. |
By: 13265 10/11/2012 7:01 AM Never seen a car with such ridiculous wheels in Europe because they're not road legal; the handling of that camry must be very poor, maybe even dangerous. And what's with all the lcd screens? The guy got skills but i don't get what he's doing. |
By: jsfury 10/11/2012 8:02 AM I'm sorry, I just have to asks. Where the hell do these guys get the money to build, or have built, something like this? Maybe I'm just naive. |
By: tazmanb 10/11/2012 8:03 AM ALL that MONEY, TIME, and CREATIVITY!!! At the end of the day, it's still a ol way too slow, always in the DAYUM way, fidgety azz driver having Toyota Camry!!! |
By: D-Fens 10/11/2012 8:03 AM Definitely unique. |

By: haddytech 10/11/2012 8:17 AM "You are so dumb" - Antoine Dodson |
By: godfather3G 10/11/2012 8:46 AM that car needs to be crushed, with the owner in it. |
By: LophatRX300 10/11/2012 9:07 AM Donts of all kinds are simply dumb! |
By: silent_killa 10/11/2012 9:54 AM Wow so many haters. Let the man do his thing. Maybe it's what he likes. Doesn't mean you have to like it. Not my taste but its something different which I can appreciate. |
By: ucblack2 10/11/2012 10:45 AM Well, I say to each his own, work with what you got. The man does not have much obviously but has "some" skill though lacking originality. But as originally stated I prefer to see a worthless car ruined with the TVs and the big rims than a real car. It makes him smile so let him have it. |
By: RXSLEVIN 10/11/2012 11:09 AM i say good job on the hard work...its what you like so go for it....forget the haters....but we do need them |
By: carfreak73 10/11/2012 11:57 AM Never thought I would see a Camry donk. The work looks clean, but putting $20,000 into a $3000 car makes me shake my head. |
By: Wragie 10/11/2012 1:11 PM Ok so all I need to be cool with a stock ricer: Oversized rims with tires-do these need to be alloy or is it ok to save some money and get them off of a wagon from a wild west show? Those should be ok as they are same size, have a thin tire ok its steel but who will notice. I know its wood but if I wrap it in tinfoil that should be shiney enough. Big bangin stereo- I thought Id bypass all the crap out there and use some kind of kettle drum. Nice thumpin bass. Do I really need a fart cannon? Was thinking this has enough clearance I can use something big like a garbage can. That should make a 4 banger sound like a nascar engine. Question is use plastic or metal'garbage can? |
By: toyo3sgte 10/11/2012 2:08 PM We have to give him some credit for the custom job he did, but don't forget that he still can fix that problem adding a nice body kit, a carbon fiber hood and a nice 19 inches staggered rims...then he gonna be ready to post a video or nice pics here on cardomain. |
By: blaqkelectriqk 10/11/2012 4:43 PM i hate donks altogether, but what bothers me the most is SCREENS where people sit!! i can never understand the purpose in that, really. Someone has to sit there, plus what are the people suppose to do to watch it? Bend allover in an uncomfortable position just to look at that shit?? Its not my car so i dont have to worry about it, he loves it so whatever. Id just like to know what the purpose of that is.... and a camry of all things still confuses me. |
By: davewf23 10/11/2012 5:15 PM I like the car. I wouldn't own a car like it, too small for me and I tend to go for the muscle car style myself but, the car is really nice. All the monitors, the lift, the doors, the paint and the big wheels, all pretty cool. It's not really for driving around and obviously no one rides in the back. It looks more like a show car and like McGuire says, he's obviously a car guy and if you are a car guy too...then you can appreciate the work this guy has put in. Good Job Romeo. |
By: aerohog 10/11/2012 6:51 PM "It doesn't bother me if someone doesn't like it because I love it! I love it". I guess that's really all that matters. What may not be my cup of tea I can still appreciate this fellow's creativity that goes into it. |
By: JrdnJstn2005 10/12/2012 10:10 AM Tires and rims like that only belong on a truck or SUV. Cars look stupid with wheels this big. Always reminds me of a "big wheel" I had when i was 3 |
By: MSU Dawg 10/15/2012 11:13 AM Well he has done something different.............combined donk and rice. Sadly, this isn't the first time I have seen this. |
By: TSD_GS 10/15/2012 10:00 PM Coming from a guy that bagged a hyundai accent, I can understand working with what you got and having pride in your ride even if everyone doesn't like it. but dammit be original. |
