I'm really digging this theme of GM muscle wagons that never actually existed, but should have. Ideally, this tribute Olds 4-4-2 wagon would have a manual 4-speed, but other than that it's pitch-perfect. See it on Craigslist, via Hooniverse.

Am I mistaken in seeing that the ad states the engine to be a 350 and the air cleaner says Rocket 455 on it?

I love this wagon. I was at the Portland swap meet way back in the early 90's. I looked over a Pontiac Vista Cruiser that had similar treatment. I wish I had pictures of it. on a trailer behind it was a 1970 Chevrolet Wagon with a 454. I think it was $7500 for both. They both made an impression on me and I still love a well done wagon till this day. They are just huge inside. Just awesome. Thanks for posting!

I have a friend that is big into Pontiacs. He went to Florida from NY to buy a '66 fullsize Pontiac wagon that was built with several rare options. It was ordered with a 8 lug wheels, 421, 4 speed, and a vinyl top. The car has a ton of rust including huge holes in the roof, but it's such a rare car it was worth it to him.

Really cool car. There's a 1969 Chevy Kingswood Estate at a local car show every now and then. It's a 396 with factory A/C. Preserved, not restored, and gets as much attention as anything out there. Always makes me wonder how a car like that survives all these years in that condition.
