Shelby's Pocket Rockets
Redline Dodge is running a cool retrospective on the 2.2L compacts on which Carroll Shelby collaborated with Dodge in the 80s under Lee Iacocca. I've always wanted an Omni GLH, and I also kind of dig this Shelby Shadow (known as the CSX), which was mentioned in the article but not pictured. Interesting point: "Looking back, one could argue that Dodge and Shelby created the FWD Tuner market over two decades ago." Read the rest here.

VIN 001 Falcon F7 Shows Up on eBay

That was fast! It was just at the Detroit Auto Show that Falcon Motor Sports was announcing final production details on the new F7, and now they're selling the first one produced on eBay for close to 1M bucks. Yeow! Fortunately, cars 2 through 10 (that's all they'll make for 2012) will be "starting at" only $225,000. Whew, that's reassuring: for a second there I was thinking I wouldn't be able to afford one. On eBay now.

Even if I was rich, if they told me I could wait and get one cheaper...who would pay 1million on this one? Bad advertising, unless of course he's trying to set a higher price for the next ones coming up. Still doesn't make much sense.

The value of a car with the VIN as 1 along with a brand new car and being a super car as that, 1 mil. is just fine to pay. Just make sure you buy 2 of them because you don't want to be driving the first one around.
