That sucks. I'am not an import guy but you have to respect any car that runs in the 8's. Hope he can fix it or swap the drive train into another body.

It's not funny but I do like it at the end when he shot the bird (at car) and threw his gloves at the windshield. Like it's the car's fault that he crashed. Hope he rebuild and get back at it, don't celebrate so hard next time.

Most of the crashes in faster cars tend to happen after the Finnish line. When you hit the brakes at that speed the rear end likes to come around on you. Front wheel drives tend to do it even worse than rear wheel due to the lite rear.

That civic had a monster launch! But seriously, what do you expect in a FWD when you're accelerating that hard and start slowing down, your back wheels are almost in the fucking air, counter steer that bitch!

This is the only thing that scares me in drag racing.You invest all this money in a car,spend months and years in preperation to watch destroy in seconds.It's could happend to to most experienced drivers.But that's the reality.He was going extremely fast though!!!

A damn shame. But dude that other car was freaking lucky. It looked like when he hit the parachute or whatever he was doing on the roof, he lost sight of where he was going and started to lock up and then slid over to the right. A real bugger, with times like that. Pathos.

And it appears that when he took his right hand off the wheel to do so, either he pulled the wheel slightly left, or the car pulled left on its own. Either way, he tried to compensate, but lost control. Stuff happens in racing.

Nice run but that sucks, almost took out the Civic. This is a comment someone posted on youtube about the video, the reason for the crash: "I was at the race, he crashed right in front of RV, we were wondering why he pulled the chute only going 167mph at MIR? What caused this wreck? Was the chute in the wrong place because the whole back of the car lifted off the ground once he pulled the chute."

He should have stomp on the gas while trying to steer in the right direction (that's what I usually do), damage could have been less... Well, good luck on rebuilding!!!

I could tell he was happy he smoked that Civic...but that's when things got real. He took his hand off the wheel of a 950 HP rhino and still drove it away like a G!! I call that a lucky F***. That reminds me of the story on Project car magazine where Robbie Perez smoked a Mustang at 10.83 at 135 MPH... If you haven't read about it, it's a good read.
