Ever seen a widebody Ford 500 with a rear-mounted supercharged 5.4 from the new Ford GT? Now you have. The "Ford GT-R" has actually been around for a few years, but was built up again following a nasty trailer rollover en route from Detroit Motorama.  It was created by the students and staff in the Custom Cars and Concepts program at Washtenaw Community College!

SEMA has been a blast this year as always, and that's a wrap for our 2011 coverage. Stay tuned next week as we review our top ten show cars, and let us know your favorites!

I suppose it gives you easy access to the engine but a mid mounted engine with 4 doors just doesn't seem right.

That's certainly the coolest Ford 500 ever built.

Pitchblack there's probably radiators and gas tank under the hood now.
