This '32 Ford hot rod will be auctioned at Barret-Jackson in January, with all proceeds going to the worthy cause of providing scholarships for the children of killed and wounded American soldiers. Dubbed "Metal of Honor," it has been built entirely with donated parts from the Ford Racing 302 to the Pirelli Tires. The rear decklid has been signed all over by Medal of Honor recipients. What really made it stand out, though, was the focus on small, authentic details. The Medal of Honor symbol is repeated throughout, showing up as wheel center caps, horn button, and hood ornament. The olive-drab Wix oil filter is a cool touch. Antique ammo boxes and surplus rucksacks are used to conceal components like the trunk-mounted battery and the a/c, and I loved how ammo boxes were even cut out and used to make the center console and armrest! More pics below the jump, and watch for it at Barret-Jackson!

If those are antique ammo boxes, then somebody needs to tell the military that they are out of date... They still use those things. It's a really good concept, and I would rather have a MoH recipient sign my trunk lid than any stinking over rated celebrity. They are the real heroes. Hollywood doesn't know the meaning of honor. Look no further for evidence than the length (or lack therof) of the typical celebrity marriage. The $10mil spent on a wedding lasting only 72 days would be better spent on charities like the one listed above. Or you could give it to my personal charity. I call it my personal welfare and retirement fund. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now....

This car is not a 33 or a T. The model T stopped production in 1927. This HOT ROD is a 1932 the Duece.

I really like this... Sounds like a worthy cause. Gotta agree with retroman on celebrities. I'd much rather have real MOH recipients signatures on the trunk.
