Fleet of Perfect Vintage Toyotas In Germany
Posted On: 10/5/2011 8:47AM

Some guy in Germany owns not one but three time-capsule Toyotas: a pair of Tercels and an MR2. As someone who's a big fan of perfectly-preserved examples of cars that most people wouldn't even bother changing the oil on, I love the Tercels in particular. Look at those engine bays! And the carpets, the photos look like they're straight out of a vintage dealership brochure! He credits the previous owners for the cars' like-new condition: the '80 and the '84 came from a 90-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman, respectively. I guess they never once drove them with their shoes on! More pics below the jump, and full thread at JapaneseNostalgicCar via VWVortex.

I love old Japanese cars! You never see 'em anymore, since they rusted away after 5 years.

This was my parents first car when they moved to the US. Paid $400 for a red example and drove it into the ground. I remember learning how a manual transmission worked on this car. -- 2 guys talking about cars. []

My first car was an '82 Tercel. Great little car until I was t-boned by a half ton. I love the original Mister 2's.

Awesome. I love the OLD Asian cars. Don't care much for the newer models, especially Toyota.
