Ugh, that's awful. No one ever shoulder-checks when they pull out of their lane anymore, and while they deserve to take themselves out of the gene pool, they don't deserve to wreck everyone else while doing it. I had someone do this to me while I was in my Eagle once; (un)fortunately I wasn't as close up as this guy was and I only had to take myself into the guard rail to avoid a wreck. I just wanted to ram him in the back instead of swerving, but that would've caused a pileup. He just kept puttering on, totally oblivious.

At least the guy that caused the accident got to go for more of violent ride than the filmer. I had a lady do this to me once on the highway at about 65 mph. I was almost even with her, I was in the passing lane, and she decided to move over to let someone on the on ramp. I was almost even door to door with her so even the slightest glance she would have seen me. I moved over so my RIGHT tires were over the white shoulder line and most of the car was in the median and laid on the horn while staying in the gas. Suddenly a fence post was right ahead of me so I had to jam on the binders and get back in line behind her. Thankfully the car she let merge in saw the whole thing and backed off so I could get back on the road. I was so mad that I ran right up on her bumper and just laid on the horn while giving her both middle fingers against the windshield. I then went around her, horned her again and then got in front of her and slammed on the brakes. I took her down to about 40 mph then got back up to speed and got off at my exit. She went by completely oblivious. I don't know if she was high or stupid or what. I was in my junker Achieva, I should have just doored her car and sent it sideways into the median. Maybe that would have driven some sense into her. Man was I fuming over that one. I'm still pissed about it 5 years later!

What I'm amazed at is how often something seems to happen to or in front of a car recording what's in front of them. Maybe every new car should come with a dash cam, rear bumper cam and a cam in each front door lock on both sides in case of an accident so the cops and insurance companies can't just go by witnesses. Shouldn't be hard to do and it can just have an on-board hard drive with a DVD disc or SDcard where it only records maybe 10 minutes and wipes on footage off. Also when the car senses an accident rather it's major or a fender bender the recording doesn't stop recording until the car is pulled or something, that way you're not confined to just 10 minutes and it doesn't record hours of worthless footage.

And that's why every time I change lanes like that I wait for about a second or two before passing just to see if the guy in front wants to pull a stunt like that. @SouthernGuy with cameras being literally everywhere now I'm surprised we don't get to see more of these kind of videos

This is why I use my cell phone and car dock as a dash cam every time I get on the highway. Record every trip so you can prove what happened if anything ever happens. If nothing happens, delete the vid and move on until next time you drive. I've been collecting close call videos on my daily commute. Maybe someday the compilation will be on Youtube.
