Shelby's Pocket Rockets
Redline Dodge is running a cool retrospective on the 2.2L compacts on which Carroll Shelby collaborated with Dodge in the 80s under Lee Iacocca. I've always wanted an Omni GLH, and I also kind of dig this Shelby Shadow (known as the CSX), which was mentioned in the article but not pictured. Interesting point: "Looking back, one could argue that Dodge and Shelby created the FWD Tuner market over two decades ago." Read the rest here.

Guinness World Record For Longest Uninterrupted Drift Set by Mercedes

I suppose there will come a time when the duration of a continuous drift is limited only by the toughness of some futuristic tire compound we haven't invented yet. Until then, there is and will continue to be some pretty burly driver skill involved. Congrats to Mercedes-Benz factory demo driver Mauro Calo, who kept a C63 AMG going sideways for an astonishing 1.44 miles, or nearly eight times around Mercedes-Benz World's famed test track.
