I guess it's OK, but I think you should keep your GM a GM. Same goes for American V8 swaps in imports too.

haha that's freakin cool! i agree about keeping a gm a gm...somewhat. but in the solstice's case, i don't mind it. a turbo'd solstice sounds pretty awesome to me

The thing about the Solstice is it already comes with a great powerplant for modding. That 2.4 Ecotec can be turboed and has all kind of aftermarket shit and can be built with better than 500 horses if you know what your doing. I think I remember seeing an Ecotec in the magazines (a Cobalt if I remember correctly) on the salt flats with close to 1000HP. Obviously the people doing this swap know how to do pretty much whatever they want and probably have no limit on spending, so under that scenario I woulda just built the 2.4 that was in it an had an all GM vehicle with a 4 banger that could still wax almost any Vette on the road.

Wonder if anybody has had the balls and $$$ to stick an LS9 into one yet...

2JZ is not a bad choice. The guy could have craved for the 2JZ's well distributed torque ranges over all RPM bandwidths.
