This 1972 Chevy Suburban on tri-cities, TN Craigslist is amazingly cool, and for $5,000, it seems cheap, too! I would buy it if it wasn't for the insurance cost and possible repairs it needs. Why is it so cheap?

Depending on the shape of everything that might not be cheap, even if he body and interior was in perfect shape. The value of a lift and big tires doesn't hold to good in the used market. Bigger the lift harder it will be to sell. Al that 3 speed on the column isn't exactly helping either.

Im in love with this gen Suburban, Im hopeing in my lifetime to build one with the front clip changed out for a 1960-1965 Dodge D-Series, with Mopar running gear, if I had $5K to spend on some detriot steel, this definitly would be high on my list

gold - Well do defend the age thing, watch Barrett-Jackson Auctions on Speed. A lot of those "old cars" go over 6 figures so sometimes being old doesn't matter, at least when it comes to classics and since that's a '72 model that would classify as a classic.
