I usually say that the original Batmobile got me into cars (and that the '69 Charger in the Dukes of Hazzard sealed the deal) but I think the first car I ever loved was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. And hey, what do you know, the original car from the movie is on eBay! Bidding starts at $1 million! Worth it?

I can think of 1 million better things to do with 1 million dollars.

If you got the million and loved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang like I did when I was a kid, hell yeah it's worth it. I wonder if Jay Leno would be interested in it, don't think he has one.

When I was little, a friend of my dad had a Brooklands Riley. My sisters and I were sure (sure!) that it was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I highly recommend reading the original book - it's way more exciting than the movie, being written by Ian Fleming and all.

CCBB was neat, but not the "cool" car to have as the J. Bond, Austin they compare it to. The Batmobile was Very cool as a kid, but the "Bandit" did it for me.
