Flippin' Police! - Autoholics

According to The Detroit Free Press, manufacturers are looking forward to ditching CD players since they are heavy and take up so much valuable real estate. I still have tape decks in two cars of my three cars. My 2007 Mustang GT has a CD changer, but I prefer to just plug my phone into the aux and stream Pandora or Spotify. How about you?

Flippin' Police!

I passed a police Dodge Charger the other day and had to do a double take after reading the side. I thought I had misread the car, but it was real.

As it turns out, there is a town in Arkansas called "Flippin." It's the home of the Flippin Police Department. They have a Flippin Fire Department as well, but they probably aren't big enough to have a Flippin Wal-Mart. And can you imagine having to attend the Flippin Church of Christ? A friend of mine who dispatches for the North Little Rock PD says that they do occasionally dispatch over the radio that someone has a "Flippin warrant."

That picture isn't shopped. I have some pics of their older patrol cars after the jump. Has anyone else come across a town with an unfortunate/hilarious name?

	By: Mbeezy3405 4/14/2011 9:12 AM speaking of flippin, did you know its completely legal to flip off a cop? its not considered road rage but simply as showing your disatisfaction with them. nice little tid bit if your upset with a offcer, but you cant curse or throw a slur at them accompanied by it, then its time to go to jail.

What could really put your mind in the gutter was the sign at the edge of town: "ENTERING ELMER." "Goodness gwacious, Mr. Wabbit..."

	By: 1sexylexy 4/14/2011 6:40 PM This is for Mbeezy... Is this true? I flipped a cop once and he pulled me over 6hrs later when he happened to see me in a parking lot. I denied it and he proceeded to verbally assault me and gave me a $600.00 stunt ticket. Luckily my hand was smashed up as i blamed it on that and i plead innocent. He had to send me a letter of apology and i did not pay the ticket.
