83capricewagon

This car was a trade in at a local Honda dealer. When I asked about it I was told "it's junk." I offered a "junk" price and they said "ok." It has water in the oil but I had plans for a 350 I had sitting in the garage. The interior is near perfect with the exception of a couple of stains on the carpet. A good shampooing may fix that. Could use a paint job due to couple of repairs the previous owner fixed and primed. I will probably just clean it good and cruise it as-is. I am planning on driving it to the Crusin' the Coast meet on Mississippi's Gulf Coast this October. Should be fun project for my two daughters, me and my dad who lives next door to me. He and I have built several antique cars and trucks together in the last ten years.

Your a automotive crusader, I can't watch cars being "hurt" in any shape or form. Because I know there is someone out there that owns one, and loves it as much as I love my cars.

Back in 1998 my buddy and I dropped a 403 Olds in his '88 Pontiac Safari wagon. With no engine mods save for some dorm room head porting, a junkyard Quadrajet, TH-350C tranny, and junkyard 3.23 posi it ran 15.5's on the motor and 13.2 @ 96 on a 100 shot of laughing gas. Not too bad for a $800 car with 188,000 miles on it. It was blue with woodgrain and had a white RH fender from a run in with a Ford Escort. You should have seen the looks of confusion on the faces of the Mustang and Camaro owners that we would dust at stop lights. Sold the car on eBay back in 2000 to a guy in NJ for $1300. I wish I had bought it and held onto it. That car was awesome and you could haul 8 people in it too.

Great find, and it's always good to save something from the crusher. Needs more pics, though.
