Shelby is preparing to unveil the 2012 GT350 at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday, but someone helping set up the GM booth snapped two pics and sent them to a friend to post over at the TheMustangSource. The Shelby GT350 is more show than go, but still pretty cool. See the other pic after the jump!

If you look at my ride page, it is quite apparent that I am NOT a Ford guy, but these Shelbys look amazing. Only one I've ever drove was a 2008 GT500 Cobra Convertible with the 6-speed manual. Fast!

More show than go? I don't know about that. I watched the something about them this weekend. Plenty of go.

timpalass--agree, they are plenty quick, but most of the money for the package goes into aesthetics

I am also not a Ford guy, but I'll admit that these cars are hot. The only thing that I wish they would change is that they need the wider tail lights and big side scoops to replace the rear side windows like they did on the original GT500. Then I would be drooling all over these.

I think the rear looks good. Any numbers for these cars available yet?

Since when does Shelby build a tape stripe package?? Granted, the GT350 will not be as fast straight line as the GT500, it's not supposed to be. The original GT350 was a road course car focused on finesse while the GT500 was more of a drag strip model. I certainly hope things haven't changed....

My 624 HP tuned '11 GT350 arrived 12/17/10. I have not stopped grinning.
