The spectacle of this-or-that electric s**tbox slingshotting past a brutishly overpowered supercar in the quarter mile has become commonplace: it's all about that instantly-available torque, which seems to embarrass the hell out of raw horsepower every time. But what about pitting a Tesla roadster, which supposedly has that going for it, against a converted E30 built with off-the-shelf parts? Mate Rimac of Croatia, creator of this lime-green BMW EV, decided to put it to the test. The car does 0-60 in a blistering 3.3, packs 900 hp, and is allegedly capable of a 175 mph top speed.
