The Grand Am Series is kicking off its season this weekend with the Rolex 24, the longest enduro run of its season. That's 24 full hours of hard racing at Daytona, using both the freshly-repaved superspeedway and the infield road course. I wish I was there! Two different classes of cars will be running the race simultaneously, including the Daytona Prototypes and the production-based GT cars (Camaros, 911s, F430s, M6s), and a variety of drivers from many branches of motorsports will be participating. Jimmie Johnson is running the 24 this year, as is Juan Pablo Montoya, Ryan Briscoe, Dario Franchitti, and tons more. The 24 hours is going to get 14 hours of coverage in two chunks on SPEED, so you won't have to scarf an entire box of chocolate covered coffee beans to stay up for the whole thing. The start of the race will be aired starting at 3PM Eastern on Saturday, then the final 7 hours at 9am on Sunday. Check out SPEED.com and the official Grand-Am site for full schedule and updates.

Screw the 1M, I've seen a bunch of videos of the LF-A around the 405 by Newport and 91. I almost want to make the trip to Newport to spot one either that or go to Cars
