I am hardly in a position to make fun of people obsessing over their car cleanliness. I am Mr. OCD when it comes to cleaning every nook of my daily driver. I am also pretty sure my neighbors think I am unbalanced considering they see me every other warm weekend going Mr. Miyagi on my ride. Wax on, wax off! Still, those of you who like to spend more time cleaning your car than your house know that the satisfaction of seeing a shiny, clean car is worth all the trouble. During the colder months I have definitely helped put local wash owner's kids through college with my routine visits. I just cannot justify frost bite, even in name of shinieness. How much is it worth for you to let someone else bring your sled up to showroom quality? Continue reading below the jump.

Well, if you have 7,200GBP (roughly $11,400) this guy can defeinitely tell you what to do with the money. He apparently claims to sometimes spend up to 250 hours per car to bring it to perfection. After rubbing a car for that long though, I would probably have rubbed off the clearcoat, the paint, and would have started making my way through layers of primer. I mean, can you be cleaner than clean? This guy says you can. I cannot relate to owning a six figure supercar, but if there are people paying this price tag, I am killing my college career counselor and moving to England. Are his special shammies worth the trouble or do you think the whole thing is a sham for wealthy suckers?

I would have to agree with Southerguy, seems to be alot of reposts about the same stuff. not to hate on your first blog ness but i though i have seen a comparison blog about the old camaro being fitted with new front clip and what not and a few other blogs that have shown up lately. just my 2 cents and your fuckin insane unless your a billionaire to pay someone that much to clean your car. I find that deatailing your own car is part of the fun of maintaining and owning a vehicle that you love.

I only wash my cars in the winter to get the salt off, but that only lasts like a day or so. And I'm cheap enough where I wince at the $4.00 it takes to get my van sprayed down at the DIY car wash. In the non winter months I just let the rain take car of things unless I get into some nasty mud or sludge is starting to built up on the paint. I haven't ever washed my hot rod Model A Ford truck save for cleaning the windshield. I just the bugs and rubber build up on it as signs of a real driver. From the back of the cab with two vertical bands of stuck on burnout rubber to about 100 bugs in the radiator and mud on the lower doors I just leave it as patina. People at the car cruises with the shiny cars don't even want to park with me anymore. :(

I'm not a total yuppie about it. I wax my firebird before cruise-ins... if I have time. lol. I usually pull up next to some 32 ford hot rod, with my car covered in road grime, bird shit, and primered rust spots. Oh, sorry, did you want me to park it in the garage, and only move it when I'm backing it off a trailer? Yeah fuck that. It's a car, and it's meant to be driven. It WILL get dirty. I take pride in my grime! I do appreciate a nice, clean car, but I will not go out of my way to get it.

No problem Mbeezy I thought I had seen it but I wasn't sure if it was the 4th gen camaro turned '69 SS or the other way around, then did a mild search on the old blog and didn't find it so I just posted that anyway. Agreed cknarf! Haven't washed my car in weeks, not proud of that but it doesn't bother me a bit!

trailerqueens are only ok if the towing vehicle is equally cool.

Doesn't matter what the tow vehicle looks like, I never cared for or understood a trailer queen. What's the point of having a vehicle if it's hardly ever driven? Only thing I understand to be a trailer queen is only if it has to be trailered; like a race car, rock crawler and whatever else isn't street legal. If you want to buy a vehicle just to look at and admire then it's a lot cheaper to have a diecast model car for that.
