8 Second Land Rover - Autoholics

According to The Detroit Free Press, manufacturers are looking forward to ditching CD players since they are heavy and take up so much valuable real estate. I still have tape decks in two cars of my three cars. My 2007 Mustang GT has a CD changer, but I prefer to just plug my phone into the aux and stream Pandora or Spotify. How about you?

8 Second Land Rover

So, how many of you have seen a 60's Land Rover and thought, "That would make a f**king cool dragster"? Not many I bet. But, it's been done. Coming from the land Down Under, let me introduce you to Chad Taylor's Land Rover. With an 800 horsepower blown Cleveland, this beast ran 8.57 at 156 MPH in the quarter-mile with a sheetmetal body. That's right, no fiberglass! Sadly, the Land Rover had a mishap in 2008 and is no more. More pics after the jump, and check out this video of Chad's former ride in action!
