BMW Art Cars at the BMW Museum

According to The Detroit Free Press, manufacturers are looking forward to ditching CD players since they are heavy and take up so much valuable real estate. I still have tape decks in two cars of my three cars. My 2007 Mustang GT has a CD changer, but I prefer to just plug my phone into the aux and stream Pandora or Spotify. How about you?

BMW Art Cars at the BMW Museum

It's rare to see a single BMW art car in person, but the entire collection at once? I almost flipped when I discovered that the current special exhibit at the BMW Museum in Munich was exactly that! From the first car, designed by one of my favorite artists, Alexander Calder (the mobile guy) to the brand new one by Jeff Koons, the whole group was on display. The Koons car will only be at the museum for a bit longer, as it's going out to race shortly. I learned that most of the cars are actually painted by the BMW paint shop, based on one-metre-long models painted by the artists, The most famous car not painted by the BMW shop is also the most valuable - the Warhol M1, which Andy Warhol painted himself with a brush. I snapped quite a few of my favorites, along with some of the models. Check out the rest of the awesomeness after the jump!

	By: Reekesh 12/2/2010 10:41 AM 1st, 2nd, 7th are awesome. Would have loved to have one of them in my garage. No doubt about it. As for the 8th, would think that some color on a white back ground would have been better looking. Being a big fan an amateur of Bimmers, Well, would take any of them, they all have something out of the lot. Go Bimmer... Sheer driving pleasure. BMW THE BEST :)
